Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one part of a larger system of healthcare known as Chinese Medicine.  One of the oldest intact systems in the world, it has been in continuous use for thousands of years.  It has been popular in European countries for most of the past 100 years, and has been widely available in the United States for at least the past 50 years.

An acupuncture treatment involves the use of tiny, hair thin, needles placed in the skin on various points around the body.  These special points were mapped out thousands of years ago, and lie along special energy lines called “meridians” or “channels” which connect the internal organs to the extremities and peripheral structures.

Acupuncture has been used to effectively treat many different kinds of conditions including: anxiety, depression, back pain, headaches, digestive issues, auto-immune disease, infertility, and many other health issues and symptoms.
